Rainer Kriess
Rainer Kriess is a fourth-generation Namibian, born and raised in Windhoek, and the founder of Meine Namibia Safaris. His connection to this land runs deep — shaped by a lifetime spent in Namibia’s wild landscapes and sharpened by years of professional guiding through some of southern Africa’s most remote and rewarding terrain.
Since founding Meine Namibia Safaris in 2016, Rainer has guided more than 500 guests through Namibia and Botswana, building a reputation for personal attention, expert local knowledge and the ability to find what most tours miss. His specialist areas include Kaokoland, Damaraland, Etosha National Park and the Okavango Delta region of Botswana, destinations that reward a guide who truly knows them.
Rainer conducts all tours personally, in three languages: German, English and Afrikaans. For travellers in particular, this means no language barriers, no intermediaries and no loss of detail, just direct, informed guidance from someone who has spent decades learning this country from the inside.
Whether you are joining a small group tour or booking a fully private itinerary, you travel with a guide whose knowledge of the terrain, wildlife and local culture goes well beyond what any guidebook can offer.
